Sandry Law 最初在一次临沧采购之旅的餐巾纸上画下了这套装备的草图。他厌倦了用抹布包裹的瓷盖碗 — 能用，却永远不够专业。构想很简单：一套小巧、不易碎、体面的装备，能与品鉴笔记本和折射仪一起放进侧背包。
他与昆明近郊一家平时制作实验器皿的小型玻璃工坊合作，指定了一款耐热高硼硅玻璃盖碗，带有翻口边缘和几乎不带纹理的盖钮 — 即使在埋头干茶审评时也能轻松握持。公道杯前后打了三个样，才把出水嘴调整到位：它必须平稳倾注，不产生湍流，让茶汤保持清澈，香气不散。品茗杯则采用双层结构，因为没有侍茶师愿意捧着烫手的杯子啜饮。
帆布收纳盒来自大理一家为户外领队制作背包的供应商 — 结实的棉鸭布、黄铜拉链、CNC 裁切的泡棉内衬。每一套装备都在昆明手工组装，出货前由 Sandry 亲自查验。它不是市面上最便宜的旅行套件，却是他每天使用的款式。
