柳州琥珀工坊

在柳江邊的一條窄巷中,Gao Lihua 經營著她祖父建造的工作室。她是柳州最後幾位堅持使用實驗室級硼矽酸鹽玻璃的吹製師傅之一 — 那種能承受沸水突然沖入而不破裂的玻璃。Michael Zhan 透過一位仍在使用她燒杯的退休化學家找到了她,經過三次拜訪與多次茶敘後,Gao 同意為 tea.glass 特製一批 100 ml 的蓋碗。

琥珀色調來自熔融玻璃中加入的一小撮氧化鐵:無鉛、無鎘,只有一絲礦物暖意。Gao 將每個蓋碗吹入一個兩片式木模,然後手工火磨唇口。成品口緣極薄,幾乎與下唇融為一體。她在玻璃上蓋上小小的仙鶴標記,然後在餘燼中緩慢冷卻。

Michael 在一個漫長的下午測試了耐熱性、唇感舒適度,以及色調在不同茶湯中的表現後,挑選了這批成品。因為每件作品都需要將近三個小時的工作時間,工作室每月僅產出十二件蓋碗。這是一種沉靜而實用的藝術 — 一件融入茶湯中的工具,只餘那抹柔和的琥珀色提醒你它的來處。

Pouring through the lip, the amber backdrop makes dark shou or aged sheng appear luminous, never muddy.

Neutral nose, zero glass odour even with boiling water; the leaf’s fragrance is unmasked.

The paper‑thin rim delivers a clean, distraction‑free sip; the tint adds a sense of depth without flavour influence.

finish

Liquor lingers on the palate, not on the vessel — the glass cools fast, encouraging the next infusion.
