對 Gao Liuzhou 而言,品鑑台就是一座實驗室。數十年來,他每個季度都要評估數百個樣品,對於雜亂不一的罐子與氣味洩漏的蓋子感到愈發挫折。他想要一套與自身品鑑過程一樣透明的器具——可謂名副其實的透明。

2025 年,他與北京順義區一家家族經營的玻璃工作室坐下來討論,這間工作室傳承了三代,專精於吹製實驗室級別的硼硅玻璃。最終他們選定了 100ml 的容量——既夠大,足以進行透徹的視覺評估;又夠小,可存放一週的輪換茶樣,不致讓茶葉走味。罐壁比市售的罐子更薄,減輕了重量,也能在品鑑桌可調式燈光下讓茶葉的色澤更加突出。

瓶塞隨後才送達。Gao 測試了矽膠、竹子與金屬,最後回歸葡萄牙軟木,取其微孔特性能讓罐內微微呼吸,同時阻隔外界異味。每個軟木塞都裁得稍微大一號,再經手工刨削,直到塞入時會發出輕柔的「啵」一聲 — 在他看來,這是清晨靜謐愉悅的一部分。

竹製托盤的設計也與這組罐子相得益彰。盤中的凹槽間距精準,讓六個罐子放置後互不碰觸,低矮的邊緣則能接住任何散落的茶葉碎片。這整套組合後來成為 Gao 自家訓練工作坊的標準配備,在這裡,學生們學習如何將生普洱茶樣本與嬌嫩的綠茶並排存放,而不會發生交叉污染。

Six 100ml cylindrical jars in flawless borosilicate, each with a snug cork stopper. The glass is thin, lightweight, and free of distortion, so leaf shape and colour read instantly.

wet leaf

After filling, the jar holds a standard 5–10g sample with enough headspace for short-term breathing. The cork’s neutral scent preserves the tea’s own aroma.

liquor

Crystal clarity throughout; the jar stays bright even with repeated handling and occasional rinsing.

aroma

No off-gassing — the borosilicate and natural cork provide a completely inert environment. A quick sniff through the rim reveals only the tea’s character.

taste

The tactile pleasure of lifting each jar from its bamboo nest and loosening the cork becomes part of the brewing ritual.

The bamboo tray’s solid base keeps the set stable on the bench during busy sessions.
