柳州玻璃匠人的清晨

Michael Zhan 在三月的薄雾清晨抵达柳州,循着一位漆器商人提供的线索,探寻隐藏在老街区的家庭式玻璃工坊。工坊主人魏师傅自十四岁便开始吹制玻璃,采用附近山区开采的矿物为熔融石英上色。他所达成的琥珀色调 — 温暖、透明、带有一丝锈迹 — 让 Michael 联想起他在福建茶馆见过的老药瓶。啜饮着一杯杯 Tiě Guān Yīn,他们讨论起使品茗杯出彩的比例:高度必须超过直径以锁住香气,杯缘要薄而圆润以便轻柔贴唇,底座则需稳固以保留余温。Michael 从魏师傅当早的批量中挑选了两只高筒圆柱杯,每只 40毫升,非常适合与朋友分享一泡工夫茶。对杯的形式鼓励并排比较香气,这是他长期以来在乌龙茶会中所提倡的仪式。这些杯子现已打磨出细腻的杯缘,并留有吹管微弱的顶底痕迹 — 手工制作的身分标志。
