這些杯器的起點是一次請求:我們能否找到一款品茗杯,既能融入1990年代工廠倉庫般的茶席,也適合當代茶吧?我們的尋源專員 Michael Zhan 花了數月時間走訪昆明各地的小型玻璃工作室 — 這座城市將傳統工藝與雲南現代茶文化巧妙交織。Gao 系列誕生於隱身舊鐵道旁的一間工作坊,經營者是第三代玻璃吹製師傅,平日主要生產實驗室器材。Michael 堅持採用25毫升而非更常見的30毫升,他認為功夫茶愛好者追求的是濃縮香氣,而非容量上的舒適。每只杯均由高透硼矽玻璃以口吹法單獨成型,再經整夜退火處理。杯緣經火焰拋光,觸唇無縫,光潔順滑。沒有模具痕跡、沒有接縫 — 宛如一件僅重35克的纖巧薄碗。正因該工作坊也製造科學玻璃,尺寸公差異常精準:整組的容量誤差低於 ±1毫升。Michael 的最終定案來自一次對比品飲,以1998年易武生普洱同時測試,杯中澄澈的質地讓茶湯層次變化一覽無遺。
